Information!
Delkit is a small kennel with only five dogs, two of which are pets. We are members of the German Shepherd Dog Club of Victoria Inc. and show in the specialist ring. We also compete in Obedience and Tracking and we enjoy both. Our dogs are all family pets and they allow us to share our house, even the sofa, if we are quick enough.
Meet Our Dogs:
Iniff Zabrina 'A' 'z' Breed Survey Class 1 Exc. Whelped 25/4/1991
Steffi is the matriarch of our family. She was only shown lightly and had only three litters before health problems ended her career. Even though she is a geriatric now she is still bouncing off the walls. Steffi passed away in January 2003.
Wolfsshanze Odin 'A' 'Z' H-Neg. TD Whelped 14/7/1993
Nitro is our protector and takes his job very seriously. He is sired by the well known obedience dog AOC Roadsend Noble Avenger 'A' ET Breed Survey Class 2. He was unable to be put through the Breed Survey scheme himself because he is a bit too tall. He enjoys life to the max and his favorite pastime, apart from stirring up the other dogs, is tracking. Nitro passed away in early 2003.
Malvita Inspire 'A' 'Z' Breed Survey Class 1 Multi Exc. Whelped 6/5/1993
Nina is a very recent addition to our family. She is a lovely, friendly, outgoing dog who has settled in as if she has lived with us all her life. She has had a very distinguished show career with the highlight being her winning the Bronze medal at the 1996 National.
Ch. Manprince Touch 'O Class "A" "Z" BS Cl 1 Multi Exc. Exc Sel. State Siegerin (Kessi) Whelped 1/10/1998
Kessi is the star of our kennel. She was bred by and is owned in partnership with Helen and Olive Dunn of Manprince Kennels. She is a bit of a couch potato and spends most of her time sleeping on her own chair. She gets most upset if anyone dares to sit in her seat and when she gets beady-eyes WATCH OUT!!! 'cause she wants to play. However when she gets in the show ring she's not at all lazy. Kessi has had an outstanding show career to date. She has only been unplaced once in the Specialist ring. The highlights of her career to date are Challenge Bitch and Best in Show at the German Shepherd Dog Club of Tasmania Championship Show in 1999. This was achieved from the Junior Class. Also, Challenge Bitch and Runner-up in Show at the Broken Hill German Shepherd Dog Club Championship Show in 2000 from the Intermediate Class. Kessi was also third in Intermediate Class and graded Very Good Merit at the GSDCV State Breed Exhibition in 2000. She is now entering the Open Class and we hope, as they say, the best is yet to come. In 2001 Kessi gave birth to 5 pups. 2 female and 3 male. All are of excellent quality and health. We have kept one of her girls, Kenya and Helen Dunn has kept another one called Keya. In 2002 Kessi has won the Tasmania Show again and has gained her Australian Show Champion Title. She has just recently (May 19) gained the State Siegerin title in Victoria. We hope to see more bright years ahead for Kessi.
Manprince Class Act (Kenya)
Kenya is Kessi's baby and is currently being trained for show and obedience.
She is probably the most feral animal you will ever meet! She has participated in a few shows already and results are promising.
Manprince Hot Prospect (Riva)
Riva is Kessi's baby by Stobar Peete and is currently being shown and also trained. His future looks bright. He is a playful little soul and never misses the chance for a run. he loves to play fetch and also to annoy Kessi by barking at her every chance he gets. Riva is enjoying a very successful show career and to see his results go to the Results page.
